8 February, Thimphu: The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock convened a half day national level stakeholder consultation meeting on the revised draft Food and Nutrition Security Policy in Thimphu today. Participants from various agencies including the ministries, private sectors, CSOs and the development partners participated in the consultation meeting.
The purpose of the consultation meeting was to invite views and comments on the draft policy for finalization. The consultation process was chaired by Hon’ble Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
Prior to the national consultation, the ministry also organized regional consultation meetings in four regions covering twenty districts.
