April 22, 2024: The Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo met with the Chief Executive Officer of GEF during the ongoing ‘Sustainable Finance for Tiger Landscapes Conference’ being held in Paro from 22-23 April 2024. They recognized the fruitful ongoing collaborations between the two agencies in the areas of mutual interest. The GEF CEO apprised the Minister of the additional financing windows available to Bhutan beyond the normal STAR allocation. The Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo shared some of the sector’s priorities in the 13th Five-Year Plan that could be considered for possible collaborations with the GEF.
