Public Notification

Recently, some consumers have been raising issues and unwarranted statements related to food safety and quality on various social media platforms; the latest being the quality issue of milk and Maida. While this is appreciated, however, unverified and fake statements can cause public panic. The concern of adulterated Maida is not true and has been conveyed on social media. The recent Keventor Tetra Pack milk concern was an isolated case and not a case of adulteration.

In this regard, we would like to urge Consumers to kindly contact BAFRA toll-free number (1555) or Face book page (https://www.facebook.com/BAFRA2018) or the nearest BAFRA office regarding any concerns related to foods, so that BAFRA can provide necessary advice; and take necessary corrective action at the earliest to avoid causing unnecessary panic among the public. We assure timely information and advisories on food safety to all the consumers. We thank you for your kind support to promote food safety in the country.
