5 February, Punakha: On 5th February, 2023, coinciding with the 7th Birth Anniversary of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, the Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo Yeshey Penjor inaugurated the second phase of the De-Suung National Service: Million Fruit Trees Plantation Project from Guma in Punakha. The ceremony was attended by the Dzongdag of Punakha Dzongkhag, Zimwom from His Majesty’s Secretariat, Director of the Department of Agriculture, Representatives from De-Suung Office, officials from the local government and officials from the Department of Agriculture. During the launching ceremony, the Chief guests and other guests planted 7 pecan nut seedlings symbolizing the 7th Birth Anniversary of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey.
