16 January, Zhemgang: The Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo was on tour from 8-16 Jan, 2023 at Zhemgang Dzongkhag. HSL visited at all Chewog of Eight Gewog under Zhemgang Dzongkhag. During the meeting Lyonpo met with farmers and discussed on various issues and problem faced by public like farm road construction and renovation, Marketing of products, Chain-link fencing/ electric fencing, Land management & Development, Farm machinery, Improvement of RNR productions, improvement of supply of seed and seedling for both vegetables & fruits /cash crops and poultry feeds. HSL also addressed on other issued faced by farmers like drinking water shortage, school, land related issue among others.
On 14 January, HSL visited Panbang Youth Corporative (PYC) farm which is run by 16 youths of Panbang. The integrated farm was established in the year 2019 with support by Government and technical assistance from the Dzongkhag. The farm is seen to be progressing well.
During the 9 days tour program, HSL met with Gewog Thrizen, Chewog Tshopas of each Gewog and discussed at length on the 12 FYP progress and remaining work. Similarly, every Gewogs presented their ongoing plans and programs, issues and challenges and of their Gewogs.
HSL will be visiting Mongar Dzongkhag from 18-23 January, 2023 and Trashigang Dzongkhag from 24-31 January.
