Under The Cottage & Small Industry Flagship Program, the Department is pleased to invite proposals from registered and active Farmer Groups and Co-operatives to apply for grant of Value Addition Equipment (VAE) under the Co-operative Business Development Scheme (C-BuDS).
C-BuDS is a competitive cost-sharing scheme to avail value addition equipment, wherein the government will contribute 70 per cent (with a ceiling of Nu.1.0 m per grant) of the total cost of equipment; that are crucial to diversify, expand or enhance the efficiency of the business of the co-operative.
Value addition equipment includes only food processing and packaging equipment and does not include supplies, consumables and packaging materials. Only those Farmer Groups and Co-operatives who have not availed similar government support through various projects in the last three years are eligible to apply.
