19th January 2022: In continuation with the last week’s consultation meeting on Draft Rules and Regulations of the Biodiversity Act of Bhutan 2022, the consultation meeting to review and refine the Draft Rules and Regulations of Biodiversity Act of Bhutan 2022 is currently being convened with external agencies in the capital today. The consultation meeting with external agencies will serve as an inclusive platform to garner greater objectivity, broader perspectives, and external insights to enable better refinement of Draft Rules and Regulations of the Biodiversity Act of Bhutan 2022.
The external agencies constituted representatives from the UNDP Bhutan, Bhutan Ecological Society, Bhutan Commerce and Chamber Industry, National Environment Commission, Bhutan Agriculture and Food Regulatory Authority, Department of Revenue and Customs, Reva Seed Enterprise, Royal Society for Protection of Nature, Bhutan Food and Drug Authority, Department of Forests and Park Services, Nature Conservation Division, Druk Horticulture Pvt. Limited, Integrated Check Post Management Division, BioBhutan and Department of Immigration.
