๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”๐ญ๐ก ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’: As part of the FAO TCP project โ€“ Accelerated Recovery from COVID-19 Pandemic through Digitalization of Peri-Urban and Urban Farming (PUUP), the FAO Representative for Nepal and Bhutan Mr. Ken Shimizu, handed over a drone toย  Director Yonten Gyamtsho of the Department of Agriculture in the presence of His Excellency Sanam Lyonpo and Dasho Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. One of the objectives of the project is to digitalize farming practices for precision agriculture farming in the country. The drone will be used for applying fertilizers and chemicals on crops and assessing crop acreage and production. A two day training on the operation of the drone will be given to officials of research and development centres by drone experts.
