5 March, 2024: His Excellency the Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo visits the National Dairy Development Centre (NDDC), National Nucleus Pig Breeding Center (NNPBC) and National Vet Hospital (NVH)
In a series of briefing sessions with the key agencies under the ministry, the Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo visited the National Dairy Development Center(NDDC) National Nucleus Pig Breeding Center (NNPC), and National Vet Hospital (NVC). The centers presented a comprehensive overview covering their backgrounds, mandates, ongoing activities, achievements in the 12th Plan, and prospective initiatives in the 13th FYP.
At the meetings, His Excellency highlighted the prevailing economic challenges and outlined the opportunities for transformation in the agricultural sector that lie ahead. Pointing to the ambitious 13th Five-Year Plan (FYP) of the ministry, set to be finalized soon, the Minister emphasized the need for collective efforts to achieve the targets outlined in the 13th FYP. ‘
Lyonpo was accompanied by Livestock Specialists and Chief of Department of Livestock, Ministry of Agriculture Livestock, Thimphu.
