The National Soil Services Centre (NSSC) is pleased to share that Mr. Chenga Tshering, Principal Land Management Officer has been awarded the certificate of appreciation by Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, the Founding President of Tarayana Foundation. The award was conferred during the launch of the 20th Tarayana Fair held on 29 May 2026 at Changyuel Park, Thimphu, in recognition of his dedicated service and lasting contributions to farming communities across Bhutan.
Mr. Chenga Tshering was particularly recognized for his outstanding work in promoting sustainable land management, improving soil health, and advancing climate-resilient agriculture. His efforts have significantly contributed to strengthening rural livelihoods and enhancing the resilience of communities facing increasing environmental and climate-related challenges.
This well-deserved recognition reflects his professionalism, commitment, and unwavering dedication to the sustainable management of land and natural resources, which are critical for ensuring food security, environmental sustainability, and climate resilience in Bhutan.
