This programme is designed for registered and certified tour guides and tour operators who regularly interact with Bhutanโs rich biodiversity and can play an important role in documenting and conserving it.
โข Enhance awareness on biodiversity conservation initiatives in Bhutan
โข Introduce participants to the Bhutan Biodiversity Portal and promote citizen-based biodiversity documentation
โข Provide hands-on training on recording and uploading species observations
โข Build understanding of relevant biodiversity legislations including the Biodiversity Act of Bhutan 2022 and the Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) Policy 2015
โข Encourage responsible biodiversity documentation and strengthen collaboration with the tourism sector
Participants will be required to provide their contact details during registration, and confirmation of participation will be sent via email or WhatsApp.
