His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo conferred Dakyen to Lyonpo Younten Phuntsho as the Minister for Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock at the Golden Throne Room of the Trashichhodzong on 28th January 2024.
Lyonpo Younten Phuntsho has Masters of Environment Management from Yale University USA and Master of Science in Forestry Management and Administration from Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy Dehra Dun in India. His expertise is in the area of Natural Resource Management, Climate Change, Environment and Forestry.
Prior to his appointment as the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, he worked with the Department of Forest and Park Services and in the World Wildlife Fund.
