๐๐๐ง๐ฎ๐: National Biodiversity Centre, SerbithangThis programme is designed for registered and certified tour guides and tour operators who regularly interact with Bhutanโs rich biodiversity and can play an important role in documenting and conserving it.
๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐โข Enhance awareness on biodiversity conservation initiatives in Bhutan
โข Introduce participants to the Bhutan Biodiversity Portal and promote citizen-based biodiversity documentation
โข Provide hands-on training on recording and uploading species observations
โข Build understanding of relevant biodiversity legislations including the Biodiversity Act of Bhutan 2022 and the Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) Policy 2015
โข Encourage responsible biodiversity documentation and strengthen collaboration with the tourism sector

โข Biodiversity conservation in Bhutan and the role of NBC
โข Access and Benefit Sharing: Global Perspective and National Measures
โข Introduction to plant taxonomy and invasive alien species
โข Mushroom diversity, documentation, and photography
โข Hands-on training on the Bhutan Biodiversity Portal
โข Awareness on CITES and biosecurity measures
โข Visits to biodiversity conservation programmes at NBC
โข Interactive quiz, prizes and certificate award
